About Me

I’m Miriam, 26, living in London. My family are from the UK, Macau and Hong Kong, and I am openly bi. I have struggled with my mental health all my life and the list of diagnoses over the years is depressingly long (depression, anxiety, BPD, multiple eating disorders!)… but I am determined to use all of it to make a positive difference.

I am an MSc student at Kings College London in the Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health, and an associate for The Resilience Formula.

Before that, I graduated from Oxford University in 2015 and then worked in insurance for almost 5 years. I am a qualified Mental Health First Aider and a Time to Change champion.

I have called this blog All In Our Head because we collectively have the power to change how mental illness is viewed by society, through sharing personal stories and raising awareness. Mental illness is not imagined, it is real, and addressing the stigma around it can actually save lives.
